Talking Books

The Florida Division of Blind Services, Bureau of Braille and Talking Book Library Services Page serves over 41,500 Florida customers who cannot use regular print due to a visual, physical, or reading disability. It is the largest library of its kind in the U.S. with a collection of 2.1 million items on audiocassette and in Braille and annual loans exceeding 1.36 million items.

If you or someone you know has trouble reading print because of an eye problem or reading disability, or has difficulty holding a book because of arthritis, a stroke, or an accident, the Braille and Talking Book Library can help keep you in touch with the world of books and magazines. To better understand what we have available take a short video tour of the Library from the Florida Braille and Talking Book Library Services Website.

The Lady Lake Library provides Talking Books and Magazines for the Sight Impaired. Their "Low Vision" machine aids patrons who are sight impaired by magnifying items up to 60X.
