Howey in the Hills 90th birthday celebration will be held on Saturday May 16, from 11a.m. - 3 p.m. The program features Lake Concert Band, Heart of Florida Barbershop Chorus, old fashioned games, antique cars and bicycles, pony rides, cake, and other foods.

Visit Town Hall to see the updated and expanded historic displays and see the story unfold in photos and memorabilia. Learn how the founders went from visionaries to making their dreams a reality in "The Alps of Florida".  Anyone is invited to bring old Howey images to Town Hall to be scanned and saved for both personal records and the Town's archives.  Share stories with neighbors and special guests who will be coming back to reminisce.

The Friends of the Marianne Beck Memorial Library will have a raffle to raise funds for the library.  Tickets can be purchased at the library for $3 or 2 for $5.  Baskets will include a variety of books and DVDs along with a gift certificate or gift in the theme of the book.
