What do Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Chevy Chase, Jan Curtin, Garrett Morris, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray, Eddie Murphy, Chris Farley, and Adam Sandler all have in common. They were all on Saturday Night Live. You have watched the show over the years, now is your chance to go “Behind the Scenes at Saturday Night Live and NBC” with Jan Kasoff on Tuesday, April 28 at 7:00pm. Mr. Kasoff was a cameraman for NBC for 36 years (1965-2001). He was a cameraman for Saturday Night Live from the start of the program in 1975 till he retired. Jan will talk about his life behind the camera, the personalities he worked with and a number of  backstage stories that will delight and entertain. Video clips from the show will be shown and your questions answered.

Debuting on October 11, 1975, the show became an instant hit, thrusting the cast into instant stardom. SNL has aired 783 episodes since its debut, and began its fortieth season on September 27, 2014, making it one of the longest-running network television programs in the United States. Throughout four decades on air, Saturday Night Live has received a number of awards, including 36 Primetime Emmy Awards, two Peabody Awards, and three Writers Guild of America Awards. In 2000, it was inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. It was ranked tenth in TV Guide 's "50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time" list, and in 2007 it was listed as one of magazine's "100 Best TV Shows of All-TIME". As of 2012, it has received 156 Emmy nominations, the most received by any TV show. The live aspect of the show has resulted in several controversies and acts of censorship, with mistakes and intentional acts of sabotage by performers as well as
guests.
