LAKE COUNTY (April 4, 2025) — Lake County is excited to announce Lake Library Week, set to take place April 6-12, 2025. This celebration is dedicated to the importance of public libraries and the role they play in fostering knowledge, creativity, and community. Residents are encouraged to visit their local library, explore the variety of services offered, and sign up for a library card if they don't already have one.
Lake Library Week celebrates the numerous resources local libraries offer to residents of all ages. From books and digital media to educational programs and community events, libraries are hubs of learning and connection. Throughout the week, libraries across Lake County will host a series of exciting activities, workshops, and special events, all designed to highlight the incredible impact libraries have on our lives.
"Our libraries are more than just places to check out books – they are vital community spaces that offer resources, connections, and lifelong learning opportunities," said Library Director George Taylor. "Lake Library Week is the perfect opportunity to rediscover all the ways our libraries can enhance our lives. We invite everyone to join us and sign up for a library card during this exciting week!"
