The Tavares Public Library invites you to discover our StoryWalk®, an innovative way for children and adults to enjoy reading while exploring the outdoors. As you stroll down the path, you’ll find the story unfolding page by page, blending literacy, nature, and physical activity into one memorable experience. A new story is featured every month, offering fresh adventures for readers of all ages so there is always something new to enjoy. The StoryWalk® is located in Ridge Park, just behind the library and beside our beautiful native wildflower garden. Visit often and enjoy a new adventure each time you visit.

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Take & Make Craft Kit
Celebrate the vibrant traditions of Día de los Muertos with a take-home craft kit. Each kit includes a paint-or-color craft project, along with an informational handout about the holiday’s history and cultural significance. Enjoy a creative activity at your own pace while learning more about this meaningful celebration of life and remembrance. Limited supplies, one kit per family.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by exploring the vibrant voices and stories of Hispanic authors. Adults and teens are invited to choose from a curated selection of books—available on display in the library—or discover their own favorites. After reading, fill out a brief book review form to share your thoughts and be entered into a raffle for a special prize. Entries due October 15.
