James Grippando
Join Mr. Grippando on Friday, April 8th at 3 p.m. in the Mount Dora Community Center as he discusses his latest novel, Afraid of the Dark, and later at 6:30 at the Author's Reception. He will offer advice on writing the thriller at the W. T. Bland Public Library on Saturday, April 9th at 12:30 p.m.
Hallie Ephron
Ms. Ephron will be appearing on Wednesday, April 6th. From 2-4 p.m. She will be teaching a free writing workshop at the W. T. Bland Public Library. At 7 p.m. in the Lady Lake Public Library, Hallie will be discussing her latest, Come and Find Me, as part of her national book tour.
Jon Jefferson
Mr. Jefferson will be appearing on Friday, April 8th at 1:30 p.m. in the Mount Dora Community Building and again at 6:30 at the Authors' Reception. On Saturday he will be speaking on "Researching the Crime" at 11 a.m. in the W. T. Bland Public Library.
Tim Dorsey
Join us with the outrageously funny Tim and Electric Barracuda on Thursday, April 7th at the Minneola City Hall; on Friday, April 8th at 11 a.m. in the Mount Dora Community Center and at 6 :30 p.m. for the Author's Reception.
Deborah Sharp
Ms. Sharp will be appearing on Thursday, April 7th at 7 p.m. in the Tavares Civic Center. Friday she will be appearing with authors Sharon Potts and Terrell Griffin in the Mount Dora Community Building as part of the "Masters of Mayhem".
Sharon Potts
Ms. Potts will be appearing on Friday, April 8th at 10 a.m. with authors Deborah Sharp and Terrell Griffin in the Mount Dora Community Building and again at 6:30 at the Author's Reception. She will be speaking on the element of suspense on Saturday at 9 a.m. in the W. T. Bland Public Library.
Joyce Elson Moore
Our community is honored to host Ms. Moore Thursday, April 7th at 4 p.m. in the Tavares Civic Center. New and aspiring writiers will be treated to a free workshop, “Writing Historical Novels” from the master!
H. Terrell Griffin
Mr. Griffin will be appearing on Tuesday, April 5th at 6:30 p.m. in the Paisley County Library. He will also be on the Masters of Mayhem panel with Sharon Potts and Deborah Sharp at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 8th in the Mount Dora Community Building and again at 6:30 at the Authors' Reception. He will make a special appearance at the Bluegrass Festival at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9th at the East Lake County Library.
Debbie Macomber
With more than 130 million copies of her books in print, Debbie Macomber is one of the world’s most popular authors. The Lake County Library System is honored to welcome Ms. Macomber to the first of the 2011 Authors @ the Library programs. She will be appearing on Saturday, April 9th at 3 p.m. in the W.T. Bland Public Library.

Bookmark Design Contest Winners Announced
The public is invited to the awards presentation, which will be held as part of the opening event for the 2011 Festival of Reading. The event, Mystery and Mayhem – Teen Style will be held beginning at 11 a.m. in the Leesburg Public Library, 100 E Main Street.
Great Live Music at the Festival
Spring and sleuths have arrived with Murder, Mystery and Mayhem as this years theme for the 8th annual Festival of Reading that will not only bring with it great authors to the week long festivities but two great Florida based bands.
Solve the Fruitland Park Mystery
The Mysterious Old Livingston House with author Jeffrey Lamb will be featured on Tuesday, April 5th at 5 p.m. and on Thursday, April 7th at 5 p.m. CSI: Fruitland Park will present a unique program with all the elements of a real crime experience with a humorous twist.

The Writers Ghost Walk will be offered on Friday, April 8 leaving from the Authors’ Reception “Dying to Meet You” in the Mount Dora Community Center.
