Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Harry Coverston, will speak about how religions pick up aspects of the cultures they encounter and how it changes them on Sunday, October 16 at 3 p.m. in the Tavares Civic Center, 100 E. Caroline Street. His primary focus will be on the interactions between the African-rooted practice of candomble, Roman Catholicism and Pentacostalism. This event promises to be informative, interesting and something different from our usual fare. We hope to see you all there!
