Chef Warren: Irish Cuisine – It’s not an Oxymoron! 
Thursday, March 5, 2020 @ 5pm
All ages
People rarely put the word’s “Irish” and “cuisine”
in the same sentence. Move beyond corned beef
and cabbage and learn how this creative and healthy
cuisine can be part of your diet beyond St. Patrick’s Day.

Ages 12+
We’re crossing two borders for this one! Ireland
and Mexico join up to bring you some serious
fun and fusion. Free samples will be offered
after the demo.

Meet & Greet with Irish author Martha Geaney

Tavares Public Library
Public Poetry Series: International Women’s Day
Saturday, March 7, 2020 @ 2pm
All Ages
Poetry comes alive at the Tavares Public Library with
readings performed by Laura Sobbott Ross, Lake County’s
first poet laureate and a creative mix of local artists. This
month’s reading we will focus on poetry by and about women
and share our admiration for the special women in our lives. 

 

Tavares Public Library
Women’s History Month Karaoke
Saturday, March 14, 2020 @ 1pm - 4pm
All Ages
Karaoke Mimi returns! In celebration of Women's
History Month, singers are encouraged to sing
songs by female artists. Light refreshments
provided by the Friends of the Tavares Library. 

 

Minneola Schoolhouse Library
Women’s History Story Time
Friday, March 27, 2020 @ 11am
In honor of Women’s History Month, there will be
a special story time celebrating the many inspirational
women from around the world and throughout history.
All story times are held at the Minneola City Hall:

19th Amendment Anniversary Tea
Saturday, March 28, 2020 @ 2pm
Teens & Adults
Spend a delightful afternoon in the company
of our costumed interpreter for a presentation
for the suffragist in all of us. Free tickets available
starting Monday, March 9 at the Tavares Public
Library. Seating is limited.
