The Friends of Cooper Memorial Library will hold their semi-annual book sale on both Friday and Saturday, July 31 and August 1, 2015 from 9 AM to 1 PM at Cooper Memorial Library, 2525 Oakley Seaver Drive, Clermont.

They have been busy collecting books and all have been sorted and are in good condition. The books include general fiction, romance, mystery, science fiction and biography. On sale also are all kinds of non-fiction including history, economics, religion, child-rearing, psychology, cook books, books and resources for those who home school, textbooks, and lots of how-to-do-it and classic books. Collections/sets of law books are also available for sale in addition to a large collection of CDs, record albums, books-on-tape, DVDs, videos, and jigsaw puzzles. Included in both fiction and non-fiction works is a wide selection of large print books. For those interested in children’s books, please plan to come early since these books usually sell out fast.

The prices range from 25 cents to two dollars with classics and coffee table (larger) books priced slightly higher. Leftover books will be sold at the library during operating hours the following week at reduced prices.

Proceeds from the sale will be spent at the library. The Friends provide funds for many of the special programs for children, teens, and adults including the Veterans History Project, the Festival of Reading in the spring, the Summer Reading program and the new “Go Zone” which was recently added in support of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Program.
